Fuller & Platt:
Brand Identity
-
Task
Create a cohesive branding system for a contemporary home furnishing store located in London. The branding system must be modern, luxurious, and creative to mimic Fuller & Platt’s contemporary designs and unique pieces.
-
Solution
Creating a contemporary and unique logo that stands out, while utilizing white space in the catalog and touch points as to not take away from Fuller & Platt’s distinct furniture pieces.
-
Applications
Cohesive branding identity including logo design, business cards, signage, and touch points such as; bags and tags. The design was expanded to include publication design; a catalog of Fuller & Platt’s new Spring collection.
A peacock was chosen for the logo because it represents luxury and sophistication; an embodiment of the furniture pieces sold at Fuller & Platt. The hexagons, used to make up the peacock’s tail, are indicative of stylish hexagonal tiles. The hexagons represent the brand’s modern designs and give the logo a unique outline. The contrast between the geometric shapes and the organic body of the peacock allude to Fuller & Platt’s use of sharp and curvilinear lines within their furniture.
